Hi, I'm Sarah! I've been excited about indie games for years now, and it was such an eye-opening experience to find so many different types of games to play. There's literally something for everyone!

Let's talk indie games!
Hello indie game fans! I'm dragging myself away from Stardew Valley to bring you this months email. I hadn't played it in five years, and now it's all I've played in the last week (or more). There is just so much more to do and find since I last played!
Another Crab's Treasure has been calling but Stardew continues to win the battle. I plan on marrying Harvey, just in case you wanted to know. I've never married him before because, well, he just seems a bit dull. Hopefully, this playthrough changes my mind! Have you married him before? Do you have a favourite love interest?
So, you might think I'll be talking about Stardew for this entire email, but I did manage to look at all the amazing game releases happening this month (May 9th is a big one!) and choose my top three. I also got to play Botany Manor before Stardew got me in its claws.
Recently I've been playing... Botany Manor
At first glance, Botany Manor is a simple and beautiful walking sim about cataloguing flowers.
However, delve a little deeper and you’ll find that our protagonist Arabella Greene is actually quite badass!
As it turns out, Arabella isn’t married and she has no children. So scandalous! At least in Victorian England, where Botany Manor is set.
I really enjoyed this about Botany Manor. It was refreshing to play as an older woman living an unusual lifestyle for her time period. Arabella has achieved a lot in her time and has an awesome friend group for support. So cool to see in a video game!
Obviously, there is also botany and a manor in this game and you'll get to explore the grounds extensively trying to decipher how the plants grow and flower.
I really enjoyed Botany Manor. If you want to see more of my thoughts, check out my full review.
This definitely not a cosy game, nor is it combat free, but it is one of my most anticipated games on the year!
Senua's story continues (go play Hellblade if you haven't yet!) as she takes another brutal journey through Viking Iceland, fighting darkness both physical and mental.
Fabledom is a fairytale city builder with an option to be combat free! I don't know about you, but I hate losing all my progress in builders.
Build your village into a kingdom with the help of a little diplomacy with your neighbours.
Maybe you'll even find love with a neighbouring monarch.
Less than 10 - Conversation with a Rock
Did you know that the majority of games released each week have less than 10 reviews? That is hundreds of games with reduced visibility on Steam! Let's change that with this featured game.
Conversation with a Rock has more than 10 reviews now, but I still wanted to feature it because it's an excellent example of how varied indie games are. Indie games are strange and wonderful and there is something for everyone.
Conversation with a Rock is a an opportunity to experience a conversation with a lovely rock. Each game is less than 5 minutes long and with more than 150 choices, you can have all different things to ponder on.
Conversation with a Rock is available for free on Steam and definitely worth just a few minutes of your time.
Do you know a game with less than 10 reviews? Reply and tell me about it!
You've made it to the end of the newsletter! There are heaps of games I didn't get to mention in this months newsletter. Do you have a favourite upcoming release I didn't mention?

Let's talk indie games! Hello indie gaming friends!October was a pretty relaxed gaming month for me. I am part of two monthly gaming clubs, Geeks and Grounds and The Cozy Gaming Club (Discord link), but for October I wasn't playing either of their games. One I wasn't interested in (Signalis - let me know if you think I should play it) and the other I've already played (Night in the Woods), so this meant I was free to play whatever I liked. As I'm sure you know, sometimes making a decision...
Let's talk indie games! G'day indie game fans!Did you know I'm Australian? No? I'm Australian! We have a small, but mighty game industry and this week is Melbourne International Games Week, which celebrates all things Australian gaming. It also happens to include PAX AUS. The ultimate celebration of games! Like many of you (I'm assuming), I'm not enjoying the fun in Melbourne this week, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun too! Instead of sharing new releases this month, I thought I'd...
Let's talk indie games! Hello indie game fans!Have you seen the Steam Summer Sale?! I'm sure we all have. Over the weekend I made the mistake of checking out my Steam wishlist to see what was on sale. It felt like everything was on sale and I got a bit of decision paralysis. So, I thought for this month I'd focus on games I love that are currently discounted on Steam, and hopefully you'll find something new to love! Which brings me to my favourite game of last month! Recently I've been...
