Hello indie gaming friends!
March was an excellent month for indie gaming! I jumped in and played Expelled! and Wanderstop, but two games I backed also surprised me with releases! So, I'll also need to get into Spilled! and River Towns soon.
Not only is it great to have so many games to play, but they're all so different too! That is the beauty of indie games. Back before I had discovered indie games, I would never have imagined getting to try so many different genres to enjoy. All around me all the games were much the same year after year. Now, it doesn't matter what type of games you enjoy, there is definitely something for you to play!
This month I discovered Able to Play. A games database that can be filtered based on your accessibility needs. Let it know what you want from a game and it'll recommend some awesome games to try.
Recently I've been playing... Expelled!
A school prefect has been pushed out a window and you're suspect number one! Typical. They always blame the scholarship girls!
Expelled! is a clever interactive fiction mystery where you learn a little something new with each run. Verity is prone to dramatics and her storytelling may not always reflect the truth. This keeps your on your toes and also makes you want to have 'just one more try'.
And you will definitely need to have 'just one more try' because it takes many loops to find out everything this game has to offer.
I'm not even there yet! After playing for 2.5 hrs I am still battling to prove my innocence, but each time I get just a little bit more information that helps next time.
Thanks to Inkle for the Steam key, but Expelled! is also available on Switch and iOS.
March New Releases!

An oil tanker is polluting the ocean and it's up to us to clean it up!
Spilled! is a lovely little experience where you putter around in a boat and clean up oil.
The more oil you clean up the clearer the water becomes and you start to see marine life!

Less than 10 - Ursid
Did you know that the majority of games released each week have less than 10 reviews? That is hundreds of games with reduced visibility on Steam! Let's change that with this featured game.
Trace the stars and uncover a tender story in Ursid, a relaxing dot-to-dot puzzle game with a celestial twist. As you connect the stars to reveal hidden constellations, you're also piecing together a heartfelt tale between Aster—a young, sick child—and his father, an astronomer traveling the world.
His father sends him gifts and letters and tells him about the constellations he's seeing and encourages Aster to find them from his own window.
Connect the stars using numbered hints to find the hidden object and learn more about Aster and the constellations.
Ursid is a relaxing game. Just you and the stars. Complete them as fast or slow as you like. There’s no rush. Go at your own pace, or tap the hint button when you need a gentle nudge.
What I enjoyed was how Ursid weaves its narrative into the gameplay. It’s not just about connecting dots—it’s about connection itself. I look forward to learning more about Aster's story as I unlock more constellations.
Do you know a game with less than 10 reviews? Reply and tell me about it!
